The S Curve of Adoption
The image above depicts what's known as the 'S Curve of Adoption.' In every industry, game-changing innovation follows a highly predictable path. That's where the S-Curve of Adoption comes into play. This model graphically explains how new ideas are adopted, from the first brave few who innovate, to the inevitable widespread standard of the masses following the trends of the herd.
Right now, performance science-driven firearms training that is rooted in neuroscience, motor learning, and human performance research, is in Phase 1 or Early Adoption. That means most instructors are still embracing and relying upon outdated methods... but those who embrace and adopt the training methods and modalities that NeuralTac™ is built upon are positioned to lead well into the future... and dominate the industry.
The Three Phases of the S-Curve of Adoption.
Phase 1 - Early Adoption: “The Visionaries”

Phase 3 - Maturity: “The New Standard”
Eventually, the methodologies and modalities WILL become the industry standard. Everyone will eventually come to adopt the model, or literally be left behind. As a result:
Agencies, academies, and private facilities will demand measurable outcomes that have become standardized and accepted in both academic settings as well as in legal precedents and case law.
Certifications and credibility will increasingly depend on an instructor’s fluency in, and knowledge and application of, modern, science-informed methodologies and modalities.
Those who adopted early are now recognized leaders in the field, while those who waited always struggle to catch up.
What This Means For You
Currently, we are at the bottom of the curve. That's early adopter territory. Less than ten percent (10%) of professional (law enforcement, military, and contract security) instructors are even casually familiar with these concepts. In the civilian training world, the number is closer to three percent (3%.)
That means the overwhelming majority of the industry hasn’t caught up yet. Many don't even recognize the opportunity. Most don't know what they don't know, and many more remain fearful of change and reluctant to venture outside of their own comforts zones.
